Super Fun Special Needs Summer Camps in Colorado

Swimming, biking, hiking, and discovering are only a few of the fun activities associated with the summertime. Kids try to cram as much fun and adventure into this three-month period as possible, and what better way to do so than by attending a summer camp program.

Center for Families and Children of Colorado Inc. Summer Programs
This is a wonderful camp for children who are affected by brain-based, executive-function deficits such as AD/HD, Asperger’s, bipolar disorder, Tourette’s, OCD, L.D. This is a therapeutic summer camp program that offers intensive treatment interventions in an active summer-camp setting for children with higher needs. The children will participate in activities such as group challenges and team building. This is truly a wonderful camp where your child will be able to feel true fun and acceptance. CNI Cochlear Kids Camp
This cool camp is specially designed for children with cochlear implants and their families. This overnight camp will have wonderful team-building activities for families as well as confidence and self-esteem building along with recreational activities such as archery, rock-climbing and more. Language therapy, technology updates and more will also be offered for the children. Starting June 12th to 18th and Aug. 17th to 20th. Children ages 1 to 18 years. Colorado Lions Camp
This camp is for children who are visually and hearing impaired, and developmentally delayed, have ADHD, Down syndrome and other disorders. Children will engage in activities according to their age group including swimming, horseback riding and more. A wonderful camp for wonderful kids. Available for ages 8 and up. First Descents
This is a cool camp that offers pure fun for children with cancer. Kids will enjoy kayaking, climbing, hiking, and rafting. This camp will help the participants to face challenges and fears associated with cancer. This camp is offered at no cost; however, families or individuals are asked to cover the cost of transportation to and from camp if they are able to.
