Ten Reasons Why You Should Not Buy Fluoridated Water

Buying fluoridated water is a bad idea.
Don’t do it.

But because I think you won’t just take my word for it, read the following.

1 – The fluoridation of water has been shown to be linked to a horrifically increased incidence of brain cancer in countries fluoridating their water.

2 – Certain groups of people may be highly susceptible to serious allergic reactions, especially people with deficiencies in calcium, magnesium, and vitamin C, and with cardiovascular and/or digestive problems.

3 – It is extremely easy to overdose on fluoride. If you eat a bowl of cereal and later drink a Coca Cola, you have exceeded the American Dental Associations recommended daily dose by over 130 percent.

In communities with unfluoridated water, even as little as a single meal from a school cafeteria presents a substantial risk of fluoride overdose. Couple one school meal with a bowl of cereal (which has comparatively low fluoride content as opposed to something such as a McDonalds McMuffin), and a Coke or two (or some other similar beverage), and you have exceeded the “recommended’ fluoride daily dosage by over 500 percent.

In Ireland, urine tests were conducted on the Chairman and six other councillors of the Kildare County Council. The tests showed that, although Kildare county is not a fluoridated community, there was enough fluoride present in the urine to cause medical concern.

4 – If you think that fluoride is essential for healthy teeth, you may be a victim of wide-spread propaganda. In 1993, the Environmental Studies and Toxicology Board of the National Research Council reported that fluoridation of drinking water supplies may result in dental fluorosis in around 1/10th of the population. Dental fluorosis is tooth damage. Despite everything you’ve been told, fluoride is more of a danger to your teeth than it is a benefit.

Also in 1993, the National Research Counil found that African-American children experienced twice the incidences of dental fluorosis as compared to children of European descent, and it tended to be considerably more severe.

5 – Let’s look at where the fluoride that is being used in the fluoridation of our water comes from. Fluoridation advocates will hide this from you: the fluoride used to treat the water, the flouride you are taking into your body, is not pharmaceutical quality or pure. It, in fact, comes from the waste byproducts of fertilizer manufacture. This means that the fluoride may also be coupled with heavy metals when it is added to the water. Heavy metals include arsenic and lead.

NSF, the corporation that developed the drinking water standards still in place today, stated publically that “the most common contaminant in [fluoridated water] is arsenic” and other metals, such as lead.

6 – Children exposed to lead at levels currently considered safe by most people scored much lower on intelligence tests. Lead is often coupled unintentionally with fluoride due to the poor quality of fluoride used in the fluoridation of the water.

7 – The byproduct (fluoride) of a fertilizer plant’s manufacturing of phosphates is often industrially used as a rust and stain remover, woof preservative, among other things. Disturbing that this, even in small quantities, is allowed into our bodies, and, actually, is sanctioned by the government.

In Palo Alto, California’s published water analysis, it was found that fluoridation damages water pipes, as it actually extracts lead out of pipes. If the lead is coming out of the pipes, it’s not just disappearing when it comes out of your faucet. Indeed, you are drinking it.

8 – Numerous major world scientists emphatically state that it is not a good idea to fluoridate water supplies.

9 – Fluoride has been widely shown to suggest that fluoride is a carcinogen, inhibits at least a dozen important enzymes involved in metabolism, growth, and cell regulation.

10 -Fluoride has been shown to adversely affect cognitive function of the brain, response time of the central nervous system, intelligence, hyperactivity, attention span, and more.

In addition, the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) found a connection between hip fractures in the elderly and water fluoridation.
In Newburgh, New York, a fluoridated city, the onset of menstruation for girls was, on average, 5 months earlier than the compared unfluoridated city, according to Caries Research, Volume 28, page 204, 1994.
The New England Journal of Medicine reported that the vast majority of cancers have been shown to be caused by things such as chemical pollutants.

If you are interested, you may want to look up the Natick Report. In 1997, Natick, Massachusetts, was considering fluoridating their water supply. They called in a team of well-respected scientists, who conducted a study, and made a report. The report is available to the public, and actually, is quite shocking and disturbing.

Many other reports have been made and studies conducted, all of which indicate the fluoridation yields few or no dental benefits, and is a danger to the public health.

I strongly recommend that you check to see if the community in which you live is fluoridated; if it is, you may want to buy bottled water or take other precautions (check to see that that isn’t fluoridated, either.). If you live outside city limits, and use a private well or community water, you probably will not have a fluoride problem.
