How to Decorate a Pair of Shorts
If you are planning to buy a funky pair of shorts for the weekend party, you surely need a lot of money. Plus, you will never be able to express your unique personality. The only solution to add your own touch and save money is decorating the shorts by yourself.
There are no rules. Do experiments and make your shorts as funky as possible. They should not look foolish though. From adding bleach splotches to gluing patches, you have plenty of options to choose from.

First of all, you need to select a pair of shorts. You may damage your shorts while decorating, so make sure you have not selected the favourite one. You can buy a new pair from the market as well.

Try adding different patches to your shorts. Such patches can easily be bought from the local stores or the cultural shops. Make a list of the items that you could use for decoration, and buy them from the market. Avoid getting cartoon stickers, as this may look a little childish.

After finishing with the patches, get some glitter beads. You should make a design in your mind before making any move. Use fabric glue to attach the beads one by one. You have two different options at this stage. Either you can attach the glitter beads in a random pattern, or you can personalise the shorts by using the beads to sell out your name.

Use a dark marker or fabric paint to write a special message on the shorts. You can write anything according to the event you are going to wear these shorts at. A lot of people prefer writing social messages or something really funny.

If you have a favourite movie character, you can attach his/her sticker on the shorts. The front portion of the shorts should be fully decorated with the splatters of bleach. You can even wash your shorts to get a special shade.

Adding appliqués could also prove really useful. A strip of leather, rope and cord are a few simple options. One can even try fake pieces of gold or silver. But make sure the appliqués don’t damage the shorts, when you put them in the washing machine.
