Drink plenty of water
Water is the best natural remedy for dry mouth. Make sure to drink at least 10 to 12 glasses of water per day as it not only replenishes the dehydration in your body, but it also promotes healthy saliva.
Do not talk too much
Try not to talk too much while suffering from dry mouth as it causes the saliva to thicken, which automatically makes your mouth dry. In case if it is necessary to talk too much for the day, then do not forget to have a bottle of water with you.
Smoking is one among the major reasons of dry mouth as it increase the pH (potential hydrogen) level of your mouth and dries the sensitive oral tissues. Therefore, if you are a smoker, then try to control smoking. However, if you cannot live without smoking, you can at least keep a breathe freshener, preferably chewing gum, or mint candy in your pocket to have it at the end of smoking in order to cover up the saliva requirement.
