As we say that there is no smoke without fire so it means that if you have beetles in your carpet then there must be a source from where they would be coming. Thoroughly look into your closets, drawers and other storage places for any fecal pellets and the shed skins of the larva. This will help you locate the source of infestation of the beetles.
Considering that there can be larvae, eggs and baby beetles in your carpet so it is advised that you should regularly vacuum the carpet. This will have the beetles as well as their remains sucked up with a rare chance of existence.
Washing with Hot Soapy Water
Since carpet is a heavy household so it is not easy to move and wash it every now and then. However, if you try and wash it with warm infact hot and soapy water, this will be helpful in terms of getting rid of caret beetles. If this is not possible for you then try to take help from a professional carpet washer.
Using Boric Acid
Boric Acid is one of the most useful chemicals particularly for controlling pests. It kills the insects instantly and at the same time it is harmless for humans. Dusting with boric spray on the carpet will not only kill the beetles but will also try to keep them away.
