You should make the goal of achieving a high or 4 GPA your number one priority. This means you will need to sacrifice many things, such as going out with friends, watching your favourite soccer game or your favourite television show, your sleep, and you might even end up missing out on important family functions or dinners. Remember that you can achieve any goal as long as you are committed and do your best.
Attend all of your lectures
You should show up to all of your classes. Keep in mind that in some colleges, attendance is part of your overall grade so you need to attend all of your lectures. In case attendance is not included in your grade, you still need to attend all of your classes. If not, you will miss out on valuable information which you might not understand by yourself.
Study every day
It is recommended that you study everyday, even if there is no quiz or exam coming up. By regularly studying, you will learn everything better and when the time comes for a test or exam, you just have to go through the syllabus once. You should set aside a small portion of your daily routine for studying every day. In addition to this, you are advised to go through your class notes along with the text books.
You should complete all of your assignments and turn them in on time. In case you know you have to submit a report or assignment in a month, you should start and finish it early. By completing assignments early, you won’t be rushing at the last minute or missing the deadline entirely.
Ask for help
In case you have any questions or queries, you need to raise your hand and ask your professor. You can even consult a friend or class fellow in order to solve a problem which you are finding difficult.
