How to Make Garden Fresh Salsa

Growing your vegetable garden is one of the most enjoyable things in the world. Using those vegetables in your food is a matter of pride and also of surety that you are pure and natural ingredients. Among the numerous things you can do with your garden fresh vegetables, Salsa is one. Salsa is a highly favourite sauce and dip which is very exotic and makes meals a delicious affair. You can serve it simply with tortilla chips or with grilled meat. Salsa will never fail to spice up things for you. Use your own fresh vegetables to make it. Pick them up right in the morning when they are the freshest and start chopping right away. The salsa will play fire with your taste buds.

Yield: 1 bowl

Ingredients:
Garlic cloves: 10-15
Onion: 1/2
Cilantro: 1 bunch
Juice of lemon: 1
Garlic salt: to taste
Fresh Ground pepper: to taste
Garden fresh tomatoes: 4 lbs

    Pick fresh and juicy tomatoes. Dice them up neatly and place in a mixing bowl. Peel the garlic cloves and then chop them up finely. Add them to the tomatoes. Take half of a medium sized onion. Chop it and add it to the other vegetables. Finally chop up the bunch of Cilantro that you picked and add it to the large mixing bowl. Cilantro brings its own distinct taste and fresh green colour. At this point, you can add other vegetables according to your taste like pepper.

    For a more tangy taste, add the lemon juice to the vegetables and toss to coat them with it.

    Season with garlic salt as per your taste. Make sure that you mix in the salt well enough to dissolve. Next comes the freshly ground pepper. Add it as seasoning according to your own taste. Freshly ground pepper has a wonderful taste and aroma which liven up dishes. Mix everything thoroughly.

    The salsa is ready. Place it in the refrigerator for a few hours to chill it up. Serve right away or can it for use in a couple of days.
