First of all preheat your oven, setting it at 220 degree centigrade (˚C) or 425 degree foreign height (˚F).
Meanwhile, place the selected 6 medium sized potatoes and in colander and wash them thoroughly. Drain the potatoes and wipe them dry.
Place them on a cutting board and cut-side down. Now, grab a sharp knife and cut the potatoes into thin and evenly spaced slices.
Note: Try to keep about 3 to 4 mm interval between the slices. Secondly, it is better not to peel the skin of the potatoes.
Place the potatoes in a baking sheet, keeping some distance in between them.
Now, insert the thinly sliced garlic cloves in between the slices of the potatoes and spread out some butter on the top of the potatoes.
Drizzle the two tablespoons of pure olive oil all over the potatoes.
Spray some freshly ground black pepper over the potatoes and place the baking sheet in the pre-heat oven. Bake the potatoes for around 40 minutes or until crispy with soft flesh.
Your mouth-watering Hasselback Potatoes are ready, garnish them if you want and serve immediately.
