Things you will need to make your nails whiter
- Lemon essential oil
- Baking soda
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Cotton swabs or cotton balls
- Denture-cleaning tablets
- Nail brushes

Try lemon – perfect remedy to make your nails whiter
Lemon is packed with the goodness of citric acid, which grants whiteness to your dull nails. Pour 4 teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice into a small bowl and dip your nail tips in it for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse your nails with mild water and wipe them dry with soft towel or tissue paper.
Secondly, cut a fresh lemon into two halved with a shape knife and rub one of the slices onto and under your nails. Leave this wonderful juice on your nails for 5 to 10 minutes and wash off with mild water.
Thirdly, you can also use lemon essential oil to make your nails whiter. Dispense about 2 oz. of lemon essential oil into a small mixing bowl and soak your nails into it for approximately 10 minutes. Clean your nails with lukewarm or mild water. Repeat this simple treatment two to three times per week to get the desired results.
Note: Always use freshly extracted lemon juice and avoid packed juice.
Lemon juice- baking soda paste
The lemon juice- baking soda paste helps in whitening the finger tips effectively. Take a plastic bowl and pour in one teaspoon of fresh lemon juice. Top it with one teaspoon of baking soda. Mix both ingredients with a small spoon until form a smooth mixture. Now, dip a tooth brush or nail brush in the lemon juice- baking soda paste and apply it your nails’ tips, scrubbing underneath and the top of your nails. Continue scrubbing for few minutes until your feel the difference and rinse off with cold water.
Toothpaste really works against dull nails
Apply a small amount of toothpaste to your nail brush and scrub it against your nails. Leave the toothpaste on your nails for at least five minutes and wash off with mild water. Repeat this simple method approximately three to four times a week until your get white nails.
Note: Make sure to use a soft nail brush. Otherwise you can use your old toothbrush with spongy tips.
Apply baking soda- hydrogen peroxide mixture
Add 2 ½ tablespoon of baking into a medium bowl and mix it with 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide until it forms a thick and smooth paste. Dip a cotton ball or cotton swab into the soda- hydrogen peroxide mixture and apply it to the surface and under the tip of each nail. You can also use an old toothbrush to apply the mixture. Leave this effective mixture on your nails for 3 to 5 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water. Repeat this procedure every week until you get your nails whiter.
Try denture-cleaning tablets’ solution
Denture-cleaning tablets’ solution is also effective against yellowish nail tips. You just have to place 1 or 2 two denture-cleaning tablets in 1 cup of water and stir if for few seconds until the tablet dissolves compete. Now, dip your nails into it for at least 10 to 15 minutes and wash off with mild water. Repeat this technique three times a week to make your nails look whiter.
