Hot plates, wooden fire or gas burners are used to distill. Distillation should be done to reach alcohol level of around 90 percent. Potato flavor is only in traces. After adding distilled water the level will reach 43 percent. Let it stand in air for a day before putting it in a bottle. Remember to give the bottle a shake daily. This will enhance the flavor of the vodka.
