Funtastic Fun in Englewood, Colorado: Indoor Fun for Young Kids

Funtastic Fun is an indoor amusement park in the Denver Metro area made especially for toddlers and other young children. This place has all the main attractions one would see at a fair or in the kiddie section at an amusement park, while being located inside a building in Englewood.

Children enjoy the “smaller” than normal rides of Tea Cups, Ferris Wheel, Carousel, Train, Whip Ride, and Swing Ride. And parents/care givers are invited to accompany their little ones on most of the rides and play places – somethingÃ?¯Ã?¿Ã?½necessary when you’ve got a toddler.

My husband and I were thrilled to let our nearly two-year-old daughter have an evening of riding rides and just being happy. With one of us riding with her at all times, she rode all the rides except the swings at this indoor amusement park.

Our favorite ride was the Ferris Wheel; I thought the ride was very attractive with the brightly-lit colored carts (ours was pink) and the wall mural beside it. The wheel goes higher than the building’s height, which brought us to a windowed top part that looked out of the indoor amusement park and onto the streets of Denver.

The Tea Cups she liked, too, but Mommy got a little carried away while spinning – oops! (Parents of toddlers are allowed to enjoy being there, too!)

Besides the rides, Funtastic Fun also has many other play areas for toddlers and other small children. Play areas include a bouncy castle, a ball room, roller racers, video games, a high double slide, and more. A huge, smiling Teddy Bear, which can be seen from the streets outside, sits, inviting children to climb upon him. My daughter and I got to sit on the bear while Daddy took a picture. We had seen this gigantic bear while driving by Funtastic Fun on many occassions, and it was what interested us the most about this particular indoor amusement park.

When we were done with all the rides and play areas, my daughter saw the games and video machines, so we just had to let her play a round of Skee Ball. She didn’t get many balls into the holes, but we all took turns trying and ended up with some tickets.

With our twenty-two tickets at the end of the night we headed to the prize counter. A kind teenaged-girl (who worked at Funtastic Fun) saw my toddler daughter’s want of a white unicorn toy behind the glass and simply gave it to her, along with some pink rings and another girlish toy (the whole time saying how cute she was). We didn’t mind. We gave her our twenty-two tickets with our thanks and went to put shoes back on for the drive home.

Funtastic Fun has much to do inside oneÃ?¯Ã?¿Ã?½building. In fact, this Denver indoor amusement park isÃ?¯Ã?¿Ã?½desiring to relocate to a larger place in the near future. It’s a little bit old and outdated in some areas, but the little ones and their adults surely will enjoy a trip there! We did, and we’ll be back.

The admission price for Funtastic Fun is $2.95 for an adult and $9.95 for each child (except on Tuesdays and Wednesdays when it lowers to $6.96).¯¿½Location is¯¿½off of Broadway and Dartmouth in Englewood, CO (Denver Metro).
