Makeup and Beauty Tips for Eyes, Lips, and Hair

Tips for Lips:
Luscious For a refreshing treat, tuck your lip-gloss or Chap Stick securely in the door of your refrigerator. You will love how cool and invigorating your favorite flavor feels and tastes! Use lip balm often to keep your lips kissably soft!

Lovely If using a lip liner pencil, trace around the perimeter of your lips steadily and gently shade the inside. Next apply lipstick and check for evenness. Finish with a shiny or glassy lip-gloss if desired.

Tricks for Eyes:
Lashes Draw some attention to your eyes with a mascara product that lengthens and thickens your eyelashes. Choose waterproof mascara for a day at the pool, the beach or during dreary weather. Also, you can elongate your eyelashes by applying mascara at first in a vertical brushing motion. This will coat the tips of your lashes, giving them a lengthened appearance.

Lids Choose a powdery shadow that complements your shirt or accents a particular color in something you are wearing. For a more dramatic look, apply a thin line of eyeliner just beneath your lower lashes. The eyeliner will bring out your eyes, making them more distinct and intense.

BrowsâÂ?¦ Before plucking your eyebrows, use a white eyeliner pencil to help you determine the shape you’d like to achieve. You can also use a brow pencil to fill in gaps if you accidentally tweeze in the wrong area.

Hints for Hair:
Styling Bored of your normal hairdo? Try some fun new styles the easy way. Stock up on a few new barrettes, clips and hair accessories. Experiment with new styles and rely on old traditional ones. Pigtails and ponytails can be playful and fun while also practical for athletic activities. Headbands and hair scarves work great to pull loose strands away from your eyes. Small claw clips create dozens of unique looks. Have fun!

ColoringâÂ?¦ If you’d like to sport a new shade of brown, blonde, red or black (or another daring color), don’t forget to test a small area of your hair first. You want to make sure the color comes out right and that you don’t suffer any allergic reactions to chemicals in the dye. Even if you’ve done your own coloring a thousand times, it is still very important to test a small section of hair.

Drying When blow-drying your hair, first try pinning the majority of your hair atop your head. Start by drying the bottom section of hair and gradually release additional sections of hair from the clip. Continue drying your hair in sections until it is completely dry.
