Top Ten Toys for Toddler Girls

I have a little two-year-old girlie-girl daughter, so I am fairly familiar with the toys that make her happy to be playing in her room or the tub. Not all of her favorite toys are especially girlie, some are gender neutral, but they’re all still part of our top 10.
Listed here are our top 10 toys that we’d recommend to other toddler girls!

Melody the Mini Van (Little People)
Most toddler girls (and boys) love Fisher-Price’s Little People, and parents encourage their toddlers to like them because they are a good, safe-sized toy for toddlers to play with. This particular Little People toy set, Melody the Mini Van, is great for toddler girls because it comes with a Mommy, Baby, portable stroller, and a talking/singing mini van. The mini van’s trunk opens and closes to access the portable stroller, and the Mommy, Baby, and any friends along for the trip can get in and out of the van through the holes in the van’s open top.

My First Doll House
Fisher-Price’s My First Doll House is the perfect gift for any two-year-old girl. The doll house itself is a 3-story home with a front door that opens and closes, and a telephone and door bell that actually ring (with the use of 2 “AA” batteries). It has a built-in computer and desk (for the Mommy or Daddy to work from home, of course!) and bathroom sink and tub. Along with the doll house come a dining table and two chairs, a bathroom potty, and a family of one mommy, daddy, and baby. (More doll house furniture & accessories available for purchase at www.fisher-price.com and retail stores.)

Little Mommy Doll
Wondering which toy doll to get your one- or two-year-old toddler girl? Fisher-Price’s Little Mommy Doll makes a great first baby doll for little girls. Each Little Mommy doll has a cute face and a soft middle (with a harder face, hands and legs), and comes wearing comfy pajamas, a bow headband, and with a rattle and bottle.

Aquadoodle Travel Go N Doodle
Does your little girl like to draw? Well, instead of using crayons and paper, let her scribble with a Magic Water Pen on an Aquadoodle Travel Go N Doodle. This Go N Doodle toy is a two-sided board that comes with one empty pen (that needs water to write) and some drawing examples along the surrounding border. It is perfect for travel or every day playtime. Teach your little toddler girl to draw hearts, flowers, and houses on this blue doodle board.

Learning Piggy Bank
Little toddler girls need to learn how to count, so if they haven’t learned yet, they will probably learn from this Learning Piggy Bank from Fisher-Price. When turned on, this piggy bank will either count (up to ten) or sing (different tunes) when one of the 10 coins it comes with is dropped inside its slot. Also, it will sing or snort when its nose is pushed. Because this is one very enjoyable toy, even you will possibly be begging your little toddler girl for a turn!

Little Tykes Shopping Cart
All girls – both young and not-so-young – like to shop! (At least that’s what I’ve been told.) So, start your toddler girl off early with this shopping cart. This cart is for toddlers 2+ years old, but I bought this for my daughter’s first birthday. It was a little large for her at first, but it is such a sturdy cart that she could still use it just fine. It is made of plastic, and has a place for a baby doll or stuffed animal to sit and ride while she pushes her toys around in it. It also has storage under the basket. So, if you want, you can make a little shopper out of your little girl.

Musical Tea Set
What little girl will say no to a tea party with her dollies? I know my daughter never would. That’s why she needs this Musical Tea Set from Fisher-Price. This set comes with 4 cups, 4 saucers, and 4 spoons (one of each for her, a friend, and two dolls!), creamer, sugar bowl, and serving tray. If that’s not enough, the tea pot makes real pouring noises (with the use of batteries)! And, it’s not bad to look at either! Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head
One or both of these potato head toys will be appreciated by your little toddler girl! Whether Mr. or Mrs., what little girl doesn’t like dressing something up? Putting a hat, nose, lips, ears and arms onto these potato heads will keep your little toddler girl busy for hours – at least it did for mine!

Lil, Snoopy
This classic pull toy from Fisher-Price is what toddlers love to drag behind them! Although it’s called Lil, Snoopy, this pup is not actually the Snoopy from the Peanuts comic strip. Instead, he’s a white puppy with brown ears and tail who has a red leash. He barks, moves his head, ears, and tail when taken for a walk, which he obviously loves, and so will your little girl!

Bath Watering Can
This very girlie-looking watering can, made by Especially for Baby at Babies “R” Us, is tons of fun for little toddler girls in the bath tub (or for watering household plants)! It has flowers, butterflies, ladybugs, and a bee on the can’s outside, and a mixed clean and pink background. The spout is expandable, too! It’s great for getting bathtub toys clear and for pouring over little bodies!

Hope this article gave you some ideas for what toddler girls like to play with! I also hope you’re able to locate the toys that you may want (whether online or at a store near you) for that special toddler girl in your life!
