If you want to beat the heat then homemade ice pops are the best way. They are easy to make if you follow some simple instructions.
Ingredients
  • Juice - According to your quantity and flavour.
  • Sugar - According to taste
Instructions
  1. The first step is to choose the flavour and the type of juice you want to use.
  2. There are many different powdered flavours that you can use to make your homemade ice pops.
  3. Lemonade and grape juice are popular flavours used in ice pops, however, if you want to mix things up, you can use many different flavours as well.
  4. Take a glass of water, pour the powdered juice and stir thoroughly until the juice is properly mixed.
  5. Now take an ice cube tray or an ice pop mould if you have one in your home and pour the juice in each cup, filling the cups to the top.
  6. Once the cups are filled, take a sheet of cellophane and wrap the whole ice cube tray by stretching it over the top.
  7. Make sure that the sheet is larger than the tray so that it is easier for you to cover the whole area.
  8. Now secure the sheet by turning in inwards on the edges of the tray and make sure it stays fixed.
  9. You now need to pierce the cellophane sheet with tooth picks inserting them in the cups with the sheet still on.
  10. Insert the toothpicks in such a way that they are in the centre of each cup.
  11. Make sure that these toothpicks do not fall and instead remain in place.
  12. Now lift the tray with both hands and be very careful as you want to avoid spilling the liquid inside.
  13. Place the tray in a freezer for cooling.
  14. Now, depending on the cooling of your freezer, keep the tray in until the ice pops freeze completely.
  15. Once the juice in the cups has completely frozen, you now need to take the tray out and remove the cellophane sheet.
  16. Now gently remove the ice pops from the cups.
  17. One thing which needs to be remembered here is that you should not pull from the toothpicks instead it is advised to push from the bottom of the cup with the help of your fingers to remove the ice pops.
  18. Now rinse the ice pops with water so that it doesn’t stick to your tongue.
  19. Enjoy the cool tasty ice pops in the summer.
