How to Put Fringe on a Scarf

Scarves with fringes are one of the latest trends in today’s fashion world. Due to this reason various fashion designers are also following it and introducing new styles and innovations in scarves with fringes. But we all know designer scarves are usually highly priced. Therefore, people who are familiar with the art of making scarfs usually make their own. However, most of these people do not know how to put fringes on a scarf and as a result of that, their scarf seems old fashioned and incomplete. To sort this issue this article has a few steps with the help of which anyone can easily put fringes on a scarf, irrespective of whether they have bought it from the market or made it at home.

Things you will need to put fringe on a scarf:
– Piece of Cardboard
– Yarn
– Scissor
– Crochet Hook

Instructions

    Take a piece of cardboard and cut it to the length of the fringe that you would like to put on your scarf. For instance if you want to put 3 inch long fringe in your scarf then, cut 3 inch wide piece of card.

    Then, take the yarn and wrap it around this 3 inch wide piece of cardboard.

    Cut the wrapped yarn around the card in a straight line with the help of a scissor. This will give you lot of pieces of fringe, but they will be double in length as compared to the finished fringe.

    After that grab one end of the scarf and put a crochet hook into a loop.

    Get a piece of fringe and fold it into half in order to have a loop on the top side.

    Now with the help of a crochet hook, pull the fringe through by inserting it in the loop.

    At this moment remove the crochet hook from the loop and bring the two ends of the fringe between the loop.

    By pulling the ends of fringe you will be able to secure it in its place.

    Repeat the same process for as many fringes as you would like to have on your scarf.
