Top Bars to Meet Other Singles in Atlanta

Ok, meeting new people is one of the best reasons to check out a bar in Atlanta. The city is brimming with twenty and thirty something’s looking to have a good time and take a break from the job that brought them to the city. So, whether you are new in town or visiting for the weekend you should definitely check out these three great bars, you are bound to meet some other singles and have a fun time.

Fado Irish Pub is a great Irish themed bar located in the super popular Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta. Buckhead is well known for their bar and singles scene. Fado Irish Pub is a classy backdrop perfect for mixing with the locals and looking for someone to talk to. The air is casual, the decor is Irish inspired (I am not really sure Irish bars are this nice) and the crowd is friendly. They do have a tiny little back patio if you think you need some fresh air, but with so much attention paid to the interior decor, you should try to find a seat inside. They serve up glass after glass of Guinness and Bass, but if you aren’t into heavy beer, don’t worry they have an extensive wine and liquor list as well. If you like to hang out after work there is a regular crowd of singles that fill the seats at this Irish pub. If you don’t make it home in time for dinner they have a great menu full of Irish dishes as well as American bar food. Fado Irish Pub is located at 3035 Peachtree Road North East, Atlanta, Georgia, 30305. They can be reached at (4040) 841-0066. If you have ever been to Buckhead you know parking is limited, so leave early to start a search for a spot or take a cab.

For any of you single people still stuck in the grunge era you should check out The Earl in the East Atlanta Village. They are not behind the times; in fact they are edgy and merely carrying on a great tradition of earthy crunchiness that became so popular in the 1990’s. You don’t have to wear flannel, but if you are sick of black pants and high heels you should check out the casual scene at this popular local bar. The crowd ranges from their late 20’s and well into their 40’s, so there is someone for everyone. I always feel a little intimidated when I go here. Maybe I am not cool enough, or at least I wish I were. The people are nice, there is live music, a happening bar area, and lots of beer and liquor. Make sure you leave the beer goggles at home though. I like this bar because the live music is separate from the main bar. You can sit and have a drink after work and mingle with the singles and then scoot through a doorway into a great music venue where you don’t feel like you have to make lots of small talk. The Earl is located at 488 Flat Shoals Road, Atlanta, Georgia, 30316. While the East Atlanta Village is very up and coming and has seen a great revitalization I always recommend going out with friend you know. Don’t walk to the car alone late at night and you should be fine. This is common sense anywhere in Atlanta. They can be reached at (404) 522-3950.

Last on my list of great Atlanta bars for singles is a hugely popular restaurant and lounge named Loca Luna. The first time I went here I was in absolute shock. I have truly never seen so many singles and young people in one bar. The wait is long to get in, so you can try calling ahead for reservations. Good luck getting in. I recommend trying them out for the first time on a weekday; the crowds are a little more manageable. This is a great place to see and be seen so make sure you wear your best outfit. The drinks are great, the food is little appetizers known as Tapas, and the air is very tropical European casual. Whether you meet someone or not you can squeeze in a lot of people watching at Loca Luna. They are located at 836 Juniper Street North East, Atlanta, Georgia, 3030 in the popular midtown neighborhood of Atlanta. You can call ahead for reservations a (404) 875-4494.
