    History

    The Great Escape was first started in 2006. Over the past six years the Brighton based festival has grown tremendously and in a short time has anchored itself as the major global music festival for new music. Today the event uses up 30 venues in which 300 bands perform their songs for an audience of 15,000 people. The Great Escape inaugurated The Hub in 2011 which is the central location of the festival where fans can gather their entry wrist bands and meet.

    The music festival does one thing very well and that is musical acts by bands. Other activities include The Hub which features a relaxing area as fans enjoy music and drink. This is also the area for collecting passes and wrist bands. The other important part of the festival is The Great Escape convention which feature talks, workshops and speeches by industry insiders. It is also a networking session for people in the profession.

    How to Get there

    By Tube

    People wishing to visit the organizers offices can get off at the Old Street tube station and head west. They will keep following the round about until they reach the exit for City Road. Take the exit and head towards Worship Street and make a left. The office will be on the left. View Map.

    By Bus


    St Luke's, Finsbury Square (EC2) (Stand F), which is served by bus numbers 771, 772, and 793, is the closest bus stop to the organizers office. After leaving the bus you can walk down Finsbury Square which will turn into Christopher Street. Take a left onto Wilson Street and then a right onto Worship Street. View Map.
