First, turn your oven on and set it to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (176.66 Degree Celsius) to preheat.
Take a large dry casserole dish (square shape) and coat it with a thin layer of nonstick cooking spray and set aside to settle down.
Unseal the tamales’ can and drain them well. Now line the drained tamales on the bottom of the greased square casserole dish, spreading evenly.
Sprinkle 1 can of Fritos corn chips over the top of the tamales’ layer.
Drain the chilies and scatter one cup of it over the tamales-corn layer.
Top the chilies’ layer with a half cup of finely chopped onion and 1 cup of nicely grated cheddar cheese.
Now, shake over the remaining Fritos corn chips and top with 1 can of drained chilies.
Top the chilies’ layer with the remaining finely grated cheddar cheese and chopped onion.
Set the casserole dish in the preheat oven and bake it at the same temperature for the next 25 to 30 minutes until the Frito Chili Pie is nicely browned from all sides, checking it time to time.
Put on thick gloves and take out the casserole dish from the oven and shift it onto the cooling rack for a few minutes until lightly warm
Remove your Frito Chili Pie from cooling rack and serve immediately. Enjoy its amazing taste!
