Total time: 30 mins
Yields: Around 4 to 6 servings, depending on portion size
Utensils: Mixer, mixing bowl, pot of water, peeler, knife

Ingredients:
Potatoes: 5-6, large size
Milk: 1 cup
Butter: 4 tablespoons

Instructions

  • 1

Take potatoes and rinse them off using warm water, before peeling their skin off. Now you can cut them into pieces. Make sure you cut each potato into 5 to 6 equal chunks. Rinse the chunks off.

  • 2

While you work on cutting chunks of potatoes, you can take a pot of water and place it over medium heat. Wait for the water to reach the boiling point, before you add in chunks of potatoes.

  • 3

Cook the potatoes for 15 minutes or until they are tender enough to easily be pulled apart with a fork. Drain the potatoes and place them into a large mixing bowl.

  • 4

You can now add 1 cup of milk into the mixing bowl (more or less depending on desired consistency), 4 tablespoons of butter, and salt and pepper, as per your taste preference.

  • 5

Using a mixer, beat the ingredients on a high speed until the mixture is thoroughly smooth and blended. The mashed potatoes recipe is now ready to serve.
