Consisting of six states, Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Connecticut, New England is a region in the northeastern corner of the United States of America. There are numerous wonderful beaches in the region, which attract thousands of tourists from different parts of the world, including other states of the US. Beach lovers prefer visiting New England because they can easily find warm water for swimming there. Some parts of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and western Massachusetts possess a humid continental climate; whereas, winters in this region are usually longer and colder than other parts of the US.
