    History

The locality was a rural area till 19th century with the green field belonging to the nobility that owned the (Jacobean) house called Holland House. It was then acquired by the London County Council in 1952 and then transferred to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in the year 1986. The chamber of commerce of Koyoto worked on a co-operative project with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea to form a small beautiful garden, the koyoto garden in the year 1991. This was the start of Holland Park as we know it now.
