    Requirements


    Documents required for issuing of Iranian visas are as:


    a)   One duly completed visa application form no cross outs.


    b)   Applicant’s passport with at least 6 months validity and two free pages for visa stamp or sticker of Iran.


    c)     Non-UK nationals must provide British residence permit.


    d)    Two passport style photographs of applicant that should not be taken in a photo booth. Photographs should be recently taken with white background and full face should visible in them.


    e)    Deposit exact visa fee.


    f)    In case of post, applicant must use prepaid delivery service for return envelope.

    Visa Fee


    Visa fee of Iran is  £129 per person on British passports and it does not include the visa stamp fee that is charged by Irananian Consulate in London (see address above). As far as other nayionals or  European passports are concerend the visa stamp fee is currently around £54.     Mode of Payment

    Check List


    It is neccessary that all applicants must once again revisit their supporting documents so they wouldn't face visa rejection because incomplete or incorrect submission.


    a)      Applicant must first re-check his or her passport vaildity period and number of free pages for visa stamp or sticker.


    b)      Check that you are providing residential proof of UK (in case of non-national of UK).


    c)       Check the size of your pictures, do they meet the criterea of Consulate.


    d)      Check that you have entered accurate visa fee.


    e)      If you are sending documents by post then send them by registered mail only so Consulate can return your passport by the same service.


    f)       Last but not least make sure that your visa application form is duly and completely fillid.

    Submission


    Visa application and other supporting documents can be submitted by visiting in person the Iranian Consulate in London (address specified above). Non UK and American nationals applicants can also submit their passport/documents by registered mail.


    Opening days of visa section are from Monday to Friday, except official holidays. Whereas, opening hours for clients and submitting documents are between 13:00 to 17:00.


    Answering of phone calls will begin at 10:00 am to 11:00 am, while appointments can be made between 8:30 am to 12:00 noon.

    Processing Time


    The processing time period for an application is two to three weeks. After processing allow up to 2 - 4 business days before you are able to collect your Visa stamp at the Iranian Consulate.

    Collect Visa


    Once the visa permit is issued after processing the applicant  will need to visit the Iranian Consulate in order to have the visa stamped in. If the applicant is British or american passport holder then, he or she have to do it in person.  All other nationalities who have sent their passport/documents by registered mail, don't need to come in person as they will get all documents by post.

    Things Tourists are Allowed to Carry with Them


    a)     Tourists can carry along with them their miscelleneous items such as pocket size music player (ipod, mp3 player), toiliteries, medicines, sunglasses and small bag (to carry small items).


    b)    Apart from that women must make sure that they have also put scarf or hejab and full sleeve shirts in their baggage. As women are not allowed to come out of their accommodation in half sleeves and without a scarf.


    c)    Iranian food is well blend therefore if you like to have little spice in your meal then, do bring a hot sauce with you.
