Instructions

  • 1

    Arrange all the ingredients

You should visit a grocery store near your home and make sure that all the ingredients required to make a herbal facial cream are bought.

  • 2

    Melt the ingredients

Put coconut oil, grapeseed oil, lanolin and beeswax in a pan and place it on low heat over a double boiler. The ingredients need to be heated, until they have melted down nicely. If you have a dry skin, you can substitute a heavier oil in place of grapeseed oil. It is recommended that you use sweet almond oil or apricot oil as a replacement in such a scenario.

  • 3

Allow the mixture to cool down

Grab a glass measuring cup and pour the melted ingredients in it. Leave the mixture alone until it cools down to room temperature.

  • 4

    Use the blender

You should now take a blender and put essential oil, distilled water, Vitamin A, Vitamin E and aloe vera in it. Blend the mixture at the highest setting and while you are doing so, sprinkle the oil mixture into the blender.

  • 5

    Avoid over-mixing

After a couple of minutes, the blender will begin to slow down and the lotion will start to get thicker. You can switch off the blender at that stage and should avoid over-mixing.

  • 6

    Store the cream

Grab an empty lotion or cream jar and pour the mixture in it. You need to store the cream at a cool place.  If you do not plan to use the herbal facial cream for a few months, you should refrigerate it.
