How to Remove Stains from Plastic
Removing stains from plastic is considered to be an easy procedure. But the situation sometimes becomes tricky. If the surface of the plastic is plain, one may find it easy to get rid of the stain. However, in case of a rough surface, the removal becomes very difficult.
With time, the usage of plastic has increased significantly. This material is widely being used for storing and serving food these days. So, at some stage, it becomes really stained. There are different techniques to keep your plastic containers clean and shiny.

Rub Alcohol
Rub alcohol on the stain. The liquid easily cleans coffee, tea and tomato ketchup stains. The stain will mostly go away, if you rinse the plastic immediately.
But if it’s not doing the trick, put a little quantity of alcohol on the stain, and leave it for a while. Rub the stain with a piece of cloth before washing it with water. -

Use Chlorine Bleach
Chlorine Bleach is another useful substance, when it comes to cleaning stains. Don’t put the bleach directly on the plastic, because it may damage the colour. Make a mixture of water and bleach, and let the liquid stay in the plastic container for 60-90 minutes. Once the stain is gone, wash the plastic thoroughly. -

Apply White Vinegar
White Vinegar could also prove useful in this regard. This liquid does not damage the plastic unlike bleach. Make a mixture of water and vinegar, and let the container rest in the liquid for a couple of hours. White Vinegar is extremely useful, when it comes to removing hard water stains. -

Use Baking Soda Paste
Baking soda removes the oily stains perfectly. Use a cup of water to make a paste of the soda, and apply it to the container. Don’t wash it quickly. Give it some time to do the job. -

Use Lemon Juice
Lemon quickly removes all sorts of stains, especially the oily ones. Sometimes, oil stays on the plastic plates even after proper washing. In order to get rid of that oil, use lemon juice. If the plastic container is too stained, give the lemon juice a couple of days to make things better. -

Rub Salt
Sometimes, rubbing the salt proves very helpful. Mix the salt in warm water, and wash the plastic container with it. Use a damp cloth to rub the surface.
