We love to pamper ourselves when we are taking a bath. Making the experience more fun also helps our body in feeling better and soon we forget all the tensions that surround us every day. Use of body washes is essential for such a bath.

The product does cost a fair bit if you purchase it and if you are the saving kind or someone that likes to do it yourself, you are certainly going to be happy making your own body wash. The process is quite simple and doable at home.

Instructions

  • 1

    Shred a Bar of Soap

The first thing that you will need to do is to shred a bar of soap. Use a cheese grater and grate the amount equal to one cup of soap. If you are using chunks of soap, then make sure that they are small in nature and are of equal amount as the grated soap.

    Mixture

The next thing to do is to put the cup of grated soap into a microwaveable container that can hold up to three quarts at least and add three glasses of water. Before placing the container in to the microwave, mix the solution with the help of a spoon.

  • 3

    Microwave

The next step is to microwave this mixture. Make sure that you do it for three minutes at half of regular microwave power. After every minute, stop the microwave and take the mixture out to stir it. Make sure that the mixture does not boil at any time during the process. If the mixture is showing signs of getting too thick even while it is hot, add half a cup more of water so that the mixture gets thin. It will thicken further when it cools down.

    Add Essentials

Once the microwaving has been done, add essential oils such as pepper mint or lavender or any other off your liking, this will provide the body wash with a scent as well as antibacterial properties. Only add a few drops as they will be enough. Also add vegetable or synthetic glycerine to add moisture to the solution. A couple of spoons should be good enough.
