Sushi lovers of all ages crowd Dr. Zushi like there might be no tomorrow. Just recently I have become a sushi fan and was surprised to find out how popular it really is. Dining at Dr. Zushi made ordering sushi easy for me as a beginner. Their menu is sectioned off in categories based on the type of fish used to make the sushi. Categories range from tuna, salmon, shrimp, and red snapper. I got the feeling that Dr. Zushi is a well-liked local favorite that is a special treat for everyone. Young couples on special dates and groups out celebrating filled the beautiful dining room. I can see why Dr. Zushi’s might be reserved for special occasions. Shiny rich looking copper walls and gold and burgundy curtains are grounded by tables draped in black linen. The effect was magnificent and definitely out of the ordinary. Dr. Zushi is located at 300-A Skokie Boulevard, Northbrook, Illinois, 60062. They can be reached at (847) 564-1861 for reservations or to plan ahead for a large group or office party.

Sushi Wabi is a local Chicago style eatery that fits right into the lush industrial d©cor that is found throughout the city. Servers donned in black from head to foot set the tone in this minimalist industrial d©cor. It is hard not to feel like you are in on a great new secret and part of what is happening at Sushi Wabi. The crowd is young and hip at Sushi Wabi, so dress the part if you can! Whether you eat sushi or not this is definitely a place to see and be seen. The menu consists of over twenty creations that are completely unique to Sushi Wabi. I personally recommended the Gyu-negima. This dish is marinated beef that has been sliced thinly. Yes, I know this is not fish. A sweet soy sauce flavored with garlic make this a great dish to share on a date. Sushi Wabi is located at 842 West Randolph Street, Chicago, Illinois, 60607. Sushi Wabi is open weekdays form 11:30am to 2:00pm and 5:00pm to 11:00pm. On Saturdays they are open from 2:00pm to Midnight, and on Sundays from 5:00pm to 11:00pm. They can be reached at (312) 563-1224.

Tank Sushi is also a young hip sushi hangout for the twenty and thirty something in the Chicago area. Club music reverberates throughout the restaurant. Minimalist d©cor, industrial seating, and good food have worked elsewhere in the Chicago area and they work here as well. There are two bars at Tank Sushi, one for liquor and one for Sushi. I highly recommend checking out both of them! If you are in the mood for something sweet save a little room for dessert and try the coconut cr¨me brulee. Rich, creamy, and decadent are all perfect descriptors for this yummy dessert. I guess the coconut part ties it into the world of Sushi. Tank Sushi is a great place for a small office party or private dinner out with a group of friends. There are two private party rooms available to diners. Be sure to call ahead and reserve these well in advance if you want one for the weekend. Tank Sushi is located at 4514 North Lincoln Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, 60625. They can be reached at (773) 769-2600.
