Difference between Barnes and Noble Nook HD and Amazon Kindle Fire HD

Tablets are the new trend nowadays and people are looking to explore the new technology. Tablets are easier to carry than laptops and are a complete experience. There are a host of new products coming into the market as almost every company has come up with its range of tablets. There is immense competition and the user wants to compare each and every feature before he or she settles on one tablet.

Barnes and Noble Nook HD is a tablet by Barnes and Noble, Inc., which is the largest book retailer in the United States. It is mainly used for reading purposes but can also be used for browsing the internet and playing games. On the other hand, the Amazon Kindle Fire HD is also an e-book reader by Amazon.

Both tablets can be bought at the same price of $199. However, there is a difference in the weight of the two products. While the Kindle Fire HD weighs around 1 pound, the Nook HD is slightly lighter, at 0.7 pounds. There is also a difference in the internal storage of the two products. The Kindle Fire HD has more internal storage in comparison to the Nook HD, at 12.6 GB. The Nook HD has an internal memory of 8 GB. However, the Barnes and Noble Nook HD has a removable memory of up to 32 GB.

One of the major differences between the two tablets is that the Amazon Kindle Fire HD comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera whereas Barnes and Noble Nook HD has no camera. The Kindle Fire HD also has a Bluetooth connection whereas the Nook HD is without this feature.

    The Amazon Kindle Fire HD is Amazon’s e-book reader. It comes with a 1.2 GHZ processor and with an internal storage of 12.6 GB. It also has Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich version. The tablet comes with a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera and also with a Bluetooth feature, which is not available in most tablets nowadays.
