How to Make Sweetheart Mousse

A Sweetheart Mousse is a delicious dish which is most popular on the Valentine’s Day. The dessert, as the name suggests, is a great gesture from one person to the other and is a perfect delicacy that suits the occasion also. The dessert is easy to make and can be prepared in 30 minutes time. However it may take some time to chill before you serve it for better taste.

The minimum ingredients and the less time it requires to be made are two huge plusses. The Sweetheart Mousse can produce up to 10 servings with the mentioned ingredients.

Utensils: Saucepan, Mixing bowls, wooden spatula, heart-shaped mold


– 2 packages of vanilla pudding mix
– 5 cups of milk
– 1 package of cherry gelatin
– 2 packages of softened cream cheese

    Add the vanilla pudding mix and four cups of milk to a preheated saucepan. The best way would be to add all the vanilla pudding mix and pour the milk slowly. Nicely stir the mixture and when completely combined, add more milk. Repeat the same process until all the milk is used.

    Now add the package of cherry gelatine to the saucepan and stir the mixture until everything is well combined. Pour the mixture in a dish and set aside for use afterwards.

    In a separate bowl, beat the two packages of softened cream cheese with the remaining one cup of milk. Slowly add the milk to the bowl so that there are no blocks made. Use a wooden spatula and make sure you clean the sides when stirring the mixture. When the ingredients are well combined, add the mixing from the saucepan in to the bowl. Repeatedly stir the mixture and make sure everything combines well.

    Pour the resulting mixture in a heart-shape mold. It is important that you use a heart-shape mold so that the dish completely goes with its name. Pour all the mixture in the mold and spread it on all sides evenly. Clean the sides nicely to give it a clean look. Refrigerate the mixture for one night at least.

    Unmold the filling in to a dish. You can serve it as it is but the best way would be to use whipped cream and cherries for garnishing. This would give the dish a very nice look and will certainly add to the delicious taste.
