As, England’s eagerness towards this celebration picked up the heat after the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson massive movement in 2009 to raise the spirits of the Britons to celebrate St George’s Day. Johnson’s efforts bear fruit and in the present time major celebrations of St George’s Day take place at famous Trafalgar Square.

    St George’s Day is celebrated in the memory of a brave Roman soldier who griped against the Romans' torment on Christians and died because of these believes. However, St George gained popularity in England from the time of the early crusade when Normans saw this brave soldier in a vision and remained victorious.
