The act of bringing disrepute to someone or service or even a product is called defamation. This word is often spoken alone. This word has a large perspective as well. If someone is doing propaganda against you or hurting your feelings in any way, it can certainly give you psychological harm. Once a judge or jury is convinced that someone is disrupting another person in any way, he or she is punished with heavy lawsuits. Dealing with defamation cases, many lawyers often accompany these types of cases as monetary compensation or damages are usually awarded. Though, solid ground is needed to justly go ahead in court as defamation charges can destroy someone’s repute as well. People believe that their personal and psychological feelings are very important in every manner so in cases of direct harm, they file cases of defamation against the person or any type of group as well who might have been making malicious statements and doing propaganda against them. It is true that someone or some other group making false statements against any company or product, the result can be low sales and damage to their reputation.

Libel is defined as a particular defamation that largely applies to cases in which lawyers try to sort out things between two parties with the help of written content. Libel can be expressed with spoken words or a written statement. Anyone who files a case under libel has to produce some written form of content which is basically used against him. Judges and jury often ask the written evidence that someone is actually bringing disrepute to you or any type of service.
