First of all, you need to assemble all the preparation materials and start with the crushed ice. Put it into the martini shaker, but make sure you only fill a little less than half of the shaker with crushed ice, otherwise you will not be able to make a good Cosmopolitan, and the taste will be too weak and watery.

While preparing a Cosmopolitan, you need vodka, and this can be either absolute or citron. Put it into the shaker in which you have already added ice. Also add 1 ounce of Triple Sec to the shaker.

After adding Triple Sec, you need to add the other ingredients, like lime juice and cranberry juice to the shaker. Then, proceed to screw on the cap, and shake it for at least 15 seconds. Do not shake it for more than 20 seconds because all the ingredients are already in liquid form.

You can also add flavour of your own choice to give the Cosmopolitan your desired taste. Strain it thoroughly and put in into your chilled cocktail glass. Now it’s time to give it a final touch and you can use an orange peel for this purpose - either hang it over the rim of the glass, or float it on the surface of drink.
