Southwark Tube Station London

Southwark tube station is served by Jubilee Line and located in the London Borough of Southwark. Southwark tube station is one of the very few complexes on London Underground system that are not too old because it was opened in 1999 as extension of Jubilee Line. Therefore, the building is still pretty novel and has all the modern day facilities such as ticket halls, lifts, escalators, gates and pay phones. The entrance and exit points are also good in number. Main entrance can be made from The Cut that will guide travellers straight to the ticket hall and the same passage is used for exists. However, building this station was not an easy task for the engineers, as they faced several architectural and technical problems during construction, which were finally resolved by creating two open spaces on different levels.
