Difference between ZTE Grand Memo and Huawei Ascend Mate

No one can deny the fact the phablets are in great demand these days. Most of them feature 5 inch display screen, while some others are also offering 5.5 inch or larger display screens.

Huawei Ascend Mate 6.1 and ZTE Grand Memo are two of the biggest phablets available in the market. Despite the fact that Huawei and ZTE are new in the mobile phone industry, many experts believe that they will gradually be able to build a good customer base in the time to come.

When it comes to analysing both sets’ display screen, you will find that they are not following latest trends. Both the devices are designed with old display technologies, and offer 720p display screens, which is something unusual, as most of the phablets these days offer 1080p display screens.

Huawei Ascend Mate 6.1 has a 6.1 inch IPS+ LCD panel, with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and offers PPI ratio of 241. In order to provide more protection to the screen, the company installed Corning’s Gorilla Glass on Mate 6.1.

On the other hand, ZTE Grand Memo features a 5.7-inch 720 x 1280-pixel screen. It is a bit smaller than that of Mate 6.1, however, it takes the lead when it comes to comparing the PPI ratio, as Grand Memo offers a PPI ratio of 258. Grand Memo does not have Corning’s Gorilla Glass installed, yet, it offers light and proximity sensor capabilities.

When comparing their processor technologies, Grand Memo scores more, as it features 1.7GHz quad core Krait 300 processor, which is much more stronger than that of 1.5GHz Huawei K3V2 quad core processor installed in Huawei Ascend Mate 6.1.

When it comes to comparing both the devices on the basis of storage capacity they provide, Huawei Ascend Mate 6.1 ranks better, as it offers 32 GB internal memory, 2 GB RAM, and a microSD card slot in order to extend the storage capacity, compared to 16 GB internal memory, 2 GB RAM installed in Grand Memo. There is no memory slot available in Grand Memo to extend the storage capacity.

Ascend Mate 6.1 offers 8 megapixel camera, while Grand Memo has 12 megapixel camera installed in it, which makes it a better phone when it comes to taking pictures.
