Even though the trend for celebrating Flag Day is not that popular, there is still a big part of the population that enjoys this day. Just like other auspicious moments, Flag Day comes only once a year and people try their best to celebrate it. Pennsylvania is the only state in the US that gives this day off as a holiday. There are a variety of things that one can do to celebrate Flag Day, all you have to do is follow some simple instructions to help get you started.

    The most important thing is to fly the flag properly. Most people buy big flags to hold in their hands or to place them on the roof but they have no clue regarding how to properly fly the flag. When flying a flag in hand, you have to move it with a certain pace from left to right and continue doing so. In contrast, placing you flag on the roof top is rather tricky as you will have to identify the direction of the wind and then place the flag accordingly.

    You can also go to the National Museum of American History in the Smithsonian Institution. The best part of this museum is that they restored the key of Francis Scott's, “The Star-Spangled Banner”.
