Lay out the cloth out on a hard or flat surface and scratch the wax with the help of a dull butter knife. Take extreme caution to remove any wax still caught inside the fabric. Remain cautious so that you don’t damage the cloth.
Next, spread a paper towel and now spread the wax-affected area of the cloth over the paper towel. Grab another paper towel and place it over the wax stain. Hence, the paper towel is placed between two pieces of paper towel. Now start rubbing or gently wiping the iron over the paper towels so that the wax begins to melt. The stain may be completely removed when you are done. If any waxy residue is still left then you may follow the next step (step 5).
Mix rubbing alcohol with double quantity of water; dip a sponge in this solution and blot the stain till the last of the residue is removed. Now wash with cool water and let it air-dry. So, the cotton cloth is ready to be used by you.
