Orange Martini Cocktail Recipe

The orange martini, also known as an orange juice martini, is a refreshingly tart and fruity version of the cocktail made famous by James Bond. Simple and quick to make, it is a well-balanced blend of vodka, dry vermouth, orange liqueur, fresh and thick orange juice, and orange bitters, all garnished with an orange twist. A fabulous way to take advantage of fresh fragrant oranges, consider serving orange martinis at a summer poolside party, or at any cocktail parties or social get-togethers during the summer season.

Prep time: 3 to 5 minutes
Yield: 1 person

vodka: 60 ml / 2 oz
dry vermouth: 15 ml / 1/2 oz
orange liqueur: 15 ml / 1/2 oz
orange juice: 30 ml / 1 oz
orange bitters: 1 dash
Orange twist for garnishing
Crushed ice: as needed

Start by placing your martini glass in the refrigerator, to develop a chilled, frosted appearance that will add to the taste and visual appeal of your orange martini.

Next, load up your cocktail shaker – fill the shaker about halfway with ice cubes or crushed ice. Then, proceed to pour 60 ml of vodka, 15 ml of dry vermouth, 15 ml of orange liqueur, 1 dash of orange bitters and 30 ml of fresh orange juice into the cocktail shaker.

Cover the cocktail shaker (make sure you secure the lid), and shake it for approximately one minute until all the ingredients are mixed together, and the exterior of the shaker begins to feel cold.

Once everything is blended, strain the orange martini into your chilled martini glass. Garnish your drink with an orange twist, and serve chilled.
