Rhinestone shirts have gained a lot of fame due to their attractive designs and the sparkle on them. They look attractive and give you a glamorous look. They are also generally more expensive than regular shirts and need to be taken care off since the sparkle can easily be lost with rough treatment. This is true especially for those rhinestone shirts bought from branded shops at a heavy price tag.The shirt can last you many fashionable years if you take care of it while wearing, washing, drying and even storing.

You have to be very careful when washing a rhinestone shirt because the glitter on it can easily be rubbed off in water and soap and with the washing friction. When you are about to wash your shirt, turn it inside out. It is better to hand wash but you can also machine wash with some precautions. Use a gentle cycle and wash it in cold water. It is very important that you wash the shirt with similar colored clothing so that it is not dyed.
Do not add any kind of bleach or vinegar to the washing machine. Chemical treatment can loosen the rhinestones. -

Dry your shirt on delicate or fluff settings. Putting it in the dryer for too long can cause shrinkage. Take it out after ten minutes. It is better to take out the shirt when it is still mildly dry so that you can air dry it. Avoid wringing the shirt as it can cause the rhinestones to drop off and decrease their life.

If you feel the need to press your shirt, turn it inside out so that the hot iron does not touch the rhinestones directly. Avoid pressing under the rhinestones as it can cause them to shed off due to the heat. When you are not using the shirt, hang it in an appropriate sized hanger so that it stays in shape. Do not store the shirt with sticky stuff that can irritate the rhinestones.
