Difference between Cane Corso and Pitbull

Dogs are known to be the best friends to human beings, thus they are kept as pets by people all over the world. They come in numerous breeds and have got different characteristics.

Some of them are kept only for hunting purposes whereas others are extremely loving and don’t mean harm to anyone. Moreover, there are a few breeds, which are used in greyhound racing too.

So, one can serve different purposes by keeping a dog as pet. However, one needs to be aware of differences between some famous breeds such as the Cane Corso and Pitbull, who have got numerous dissimilarities and differ in body type too.

Whenever you make a comparison between two creatures, you have to consider their size and weight. If you have the accurate information about these features, you will be able to identify your favourite dog easily.

When it comes to the size of the Cane Corso and Pitbull, the former of the two is larger in size, thus weighs more too. Even if you look at the puppies of the same age, you will see a visible difference between their sizes.

Dogs are loyal to humans, but some of them are not too friendly with everyone. Cane Corso is also one of them, as this dog doesn’t socialise much. It is extremely friendly with the owners, but when it comes to strangers, this breed can be dangerous.

On the other hand, Pitbulls can be friendly to anyone other than their owners. They will not be too comfortable with a completely new person, but will get better once they get to familiarise with the other person.

The life span of a Cane Corso is lesser compared to the Pitbull. The latter of the two can live for 14 years, if there is no health related issue. On the other hand, the Cane Corso can only live about 10 to 11 years at maximum.

One clear difference between these two dog breeds is that the Pitbull has got a tighter skin and appears to be more muscular whereas the Cane Corso has got loose skin. If you are completely unaware of any other differences between these two creatures, you can simply tell by looking at their body.
