Choose easy flowers to make during the initial experiments. A daisy is an easy design anyone can make and manage. Put a drop of the chosen nail colour on a plate. Dip a toothpick into it and start drawing a daisy on the nail, over the base coat. It is very necessary that the base coat is totally dry before you proceed because else all effort will be ruined when the polishes meddle with each other.

Start with making petals first in a way that they make a circle around the dot in the centre which you leave unpainted. Five or six petals will be enough to cover the pattern. The size of the petals depends on your nails.

Put a drop of another nail colour on the plate and paint the small space in the centre of the circles so that it is differentiated. Let the design dry completely. Use a different toothpick and a different nail colour for this purpose. It is better to let the petals dry before you fill the centre.
