How to Create a Subtle Makeup Look

Wearing a subtle makeup while you are out and about will help you look beautiful without coming off as fake. The prominence of excessive makeup is a huge turn-off for some guys, who find a subtle makeup look far more attractive. You can make the subtle makeup look work for you even more by drawing more attention to your eyes or lips, whichever of the two features you are proud of the more. Do you have long eyelashes? Why not play them up? Going for a subtle makeup look will let you look naturally beautiful.

The first thing that you need to do in order to create a subtle makeup look is to wash your face and then use a moisturiser cream or lotion on it. Cleansing your face properly and using a moisturiser on it will create a perfect base for you to apply makeup on. Remember to use a clean towel to dry your face. Do not use the towel too roughly. Instead, gently dab it on your face. Do not forget to moisturise your eye-lids as well as lips properly. An oil-free moisturiser is strongly recommended.

After you have cleansed and moisturised your face, apply some foundation on your face. It is optional for you in case you have a clear skin, as you can attain an everyday look even without it. In case you have blemishes, dark circles and red spots on your face, then apply a concealer on your face to give it a smooth yet natural look. While using the concealer, make sure you do not overdo it, as using too much concealer can make your face look fake.

Use an eyelash curler to curl your eyelashes, creating a softer look. Apply mascara on them to make the eyelashes even more prominent. However, if you already have black eyelashes, there is no need to apply mascara on your eyelashes.

For the lips, you have the option to either go for lip gloss or lipstick. While a lot of girls prefer to go with lip gloss because it feels and looks more natural. Another reason to go for lip gloss is that it comes off more cleanly than lipstick. However, you can go for lipstick as well, though make sure you do not go outside of the defined lip lines, as that would end up giving you a clownish look, one that only looks good in a circus.
